Triagic + New Relic: ticket investigations over your logs, errors and metrics, read-only

Run NRQL queries and read entities, alerts, and open incidents. Writes are not blocked. Use a key from a read-only user. Triagic connects to New Relic from the desktop app on each member's machine, with a credential you configure, and shows every call it makes while it investigates a ticket. Nothing is copied out of New Relic.

What you can ask

  • Check New Relic for errors from the checkout service in the last hour and group them by message
  • In New Relic, did latency for the import worker change after the 16:02 deploy?
  • Find every New Relic event that mentions request id 7f3a-…-c2 and put them in order
  • Is the alert in New Relic for the export queue still firing, and since when?
  • What did New Relic record for the pod that restarted at 11:31?

What the agent can do

These are the 13 tools Triagic exposes from the New Relic MCP server. Anything else the server lists is dropped at connect time.

  • run_nrql_query
  • list_apm_applications
  • search_entities
  • get_entity_details
  • list_alert_policies
  • list_open_incidents
  • list_synthetics_monitors
  • list_deployments_rest
  • list_apm_applications_rest
  • list_metric_names_for_host
  • get_metric_data_for_host
  • list_application_hosts
  • get_account_details

Connect in three steps

  1. 1

Mint a read-only credential in New Relic

Create a dedicated user or token that can only read. No write block upstream: an allowlist of the NRQL, entity, alert and incident read tools, and a read-scoped user key.

  2. 2

Add it in the Triagic portal

Integrations, then Add shared data source, then New Relic.

    • User API key: New Relic → Administration → API keys → User key. Licence and browser keys do not work.
    • Account ID: The numeric account ID, from Administration → Access management.
  3. 3

Let a desktop pick it up

Saving validates the shape of what you typed. The first desktop app to sync starts New Relic locally and reports running or degraded with the error text.

Read-only, by construction

No write block upstream: an allowlist of the NRQL, entity, alert and incident read tools, and a read-scoped user key.

FAQ

Can Triagic change anything in New Relic?
No. No write block upstream: an allowlist of the NRQL, entity, alert and incident read tools, and a read-scoped user key. Give it a read-only credential as well, so the guarantee does not rest on one layer.
What do I need to connect New Relic?
User API key, Account ID. The desktop app on a member's machine starts the connection; the portal never holds a live process.
Does New Relic cost extra?
No. Every connector is included in the seat price. Start a 14-day trial without a card.
